Everki EKP160N ContemPRO Commuter Laptop Backpack; The ContemPRO Commuter Laptop Backpack is the bag to choose when functionality reigns.
So I went on vacation with my girlfriend to see her brother graduate from the Marines down in San Diego. It was supposed to be a fun time, but the night before graduation my girlfriend and I went out for a bit of celebration at the bars. Some of the items in it were there just because it was still in there when I packed it for the flight over, others I put in just encase. Some of these items were: my glasses case w/ glasses in them, my (almost expired) passport, an external battery, my car/apartment keys, swimsuit, sunglasses, a pair of shoes I basically just bought. And possibly my girlfriend's purse. So here's what went down. I remember going from a pizza place where I had two beers and DO remember wearing my backpack, to a bar where I had at least three drinks. There we also met someone who comes into play later, we'll call her "S".
We liked S, and decided to walk down to the beach with her. At this point my memory is very fuzzy. I remember sitting at the levee, I don't remember if I had my backpack there. Then we went to S' place after she invited us via Lyft. Hung out there for a bit, then we went home. Next morning, we woke up and realized we lost my backpack and her purse. Called the Lyft driver, they said they don't remember me wearing a backpack. Checked the place we were sitting at the beach, no backpack. Our best guess is that my girlfriend had put her purse, which included her brothers phone that she was holding for him until graduation, into my backpack that night for safekeeping, ironically. Then in my drunken stuper I must've put the backpack down at the levee and left it there as we got in the Lyft. Then, someone came, found it and took it. So I left a description with the lifeguard, reported my passport as stolen, my car and apartment are half the country away, and did a report with the police. End of story, right? His phone he apparently left unlocked with pictures of sensitive info on it. Like, whoever has his phone now knows his SSN. We sent texts to his phone negotiating a reward for it's return, no reply. BUT, they did answer a phone call for a whole 3 seconds, and when we tried to get him a new phone, his credit had been flagged for suspicious activity. So we know with certainty that someone has it. But it doesn't seem anyone cares to help.
A previous week. I'm looking for information on the DAKINE Sentry Laptop Backpack - 1480cu in Terrain, One Size, so i would like to describe here. If you've come from Craftster or have read my previous blog post, then you'd already know what I'm talking about. If not, you can first read about it here, where there are more photos and details about this wonderful little bag. Thanks to some really lovely people, I got the boost I needed to make another tutorial. Of course, it took a lot of effort but making it went along pretty smoothly and easier than I initially thought. I do believe online tutorials are much better than store-bought printed patterns, not just because they are free but because you are able to see upfront what you are exactly in for. I just did not like the construction in general. Seems like you are interested in making the city backpack and that is why you are here. Thank you for your trust! I do hope you will get exactly what you are after.
Please read this carefully.1. After cutting your fabric pieces for the bag bottom and flap, use a protractor or any curved object to shape the corners, as illustrated. Alternatively, you may want to make a pattern to make cutting fabric easier. 3. As a prerequisite to this project, you need to know how to install magnetic snaps. If you intend to add a zippered or simple slip pocket on the bag inside, you should also know how to. Here's a link to a useful tutorial. 4. Except for the drawstring, all fabric pieces are interfaced. The bag front/back/side sections, as well as the bag bottom, flap, grab handle, and strap attachment loops are fully interfaced. Instructions on how to interface the back straps and the casing will be provided in the tutorial. 5. Reinforcing the bottom with template plastic is optional. Please refer to these simple instructions on how to use your template plastic.
